On 20 November 1970 Colonel Jack Gatewood handed over command of Det-1, 6th SW, SAC to Lt Col Donald M. Griffin. The pages that folllow include change of command photos (Page #2) taken at Det-1, 6th SW in hangar #2 on Shemya in 1970 and a visit to Det-1 by General Bruce K. Holloway (CINCSAC), in 1971 (Page #3).
