My father, Major John J. Gardner (1914-1986) served as a Senior Liaison Officer during World War II in the China, Burma, and India Theatre of Operations .  From September 1943 until May 1944, he was stationed in Ledo, India where he served in the training of KMT Officers.  In the jungles of Burma, he served in the Northern Combat Area Command Headquarters of Lt. General Joseph Stilwell .  As a member of the Y-Forces, he served in the New 6th Army's Chinese Combat Command. On this website, I have photos, stories, & memorabilia that Dad shared with me.

If you have additional information related to the CBI Theatre, and the Greatest Generation who served there, please  E-Mail me and share your stories!    I am interested in improving this website and sharing everything related the C.B.I. Theatre of Operations .
