On 27 August 2004, Col. Mark Christian dedicated the "Commander's Conference Room" at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) in memory of Rivet Amber and her crew of 19 that were lost at sea on 5 June 1969. Col. Christian is the Commander of NASIC located at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio.
Mr. Wilford Simon (NASIC Analyst) supplied the photographs of Rivet Amber displayed at the dedication. He also provided the photos for this webpage. Mr. Simon processed most if not all of Rivet Amber's ballistic camera and radar data back when NASIC was known as FTD (Foreign Technology Division).
